TUISKU snow and rain covers ensure reliability in all conditions
At the site, TUISKU snow protection solutions were implemented as multi-piece systems, enabling flexible deployment on a large scale. TUISKU-AK installation frames were used to simplify and speed up the installation process. The high measured separation efficiency of TUISKU louvres ensures uninterrupted ventilation performance in all weather conditions by preventing snow and water from entering the system. This extends the service life of filters, reduces maintenance needs, and thereby lowers operating costs.
Energy efficiency and sustainability at the core of the overall solution
In a logistics center of this scale, ventilation systems must adapt to large and varying loads, support energy-efficient operation around the clock, integrate seamlessly with the building automation system, and support ambitious environmental and certification targets. Onnela aims to achieve a BREEAM “Very Good” sustainability rating. The design and implementation emphasized lifecycle energy efficiency and minimizing the carbon footprint.
The ventilation of Onnela’s kitchen facilities was implemented using a CleanMaster ventilation ceiling equipped with demand-controlled kitchen ventilation (DCKV) technology. This solution represents the latest generation of kitchen ventilation, and expert design services were utilized to ensure optimal performance. DCKV technology delivers significant energy savings while improving working conditions for kitchen staff. In a logistics center of this size, optimizing kitchen ventilation has a direct impact on the building’s overall energy balance.
