Get to know: Maintenance manager Heikki Nurmi

This time, we are presenting our ever-cheerful Maintenance Manager, Heikki Nurmi. Heikki ensures that the installation of ventilation equipment in professional kitchens is handled carefully and that the hoods in the kitchens are working. Heikki is responsible for the maintenance services of professional kitchens, but the toolkit is also dug out when colleagues need help.

Heikki has been helping customers at Climecon for over 20 years. He has worked at Climecon in many roles, including product manager and product designer. When a Maintenance manager was needed, Heikki was ready to take on a new challenge.

Heikki, who graduated as a mechanical engineer, appreciates that he gets to work with the latest technology in his work. His colleagues say that his technology expertise is top-notch.

“I’ve seen quite a few kitchens during my career, and hopefully, there are still many to come. The development of technology has been tremendous in recent years – and so have our kitchen products. Especially UV technology has been a pleasure to work with, and the best thing is, of course, the excellent colleagues,” Heikki says.

“Every kitchen is different and a unique challenge. Regular service and maintenance ensure efficient and safe use of the kitchen and that the appliances remain in good condition,” he continues.

Heikki enjoys going to the gym and mountain biking. He likes to spend time at his cottage to balance his work and cycling activities. Cooking delicious meals is also part of his leisure time. Additionally, he considers himself a fan of good beer.
