Get to know: Product development engineer Samppa Rytkönen

We want to introduce you to our Product Development Engineer, Samppa Rytkönen.  As a development engineer, Samppa’s duties consist of designing and developing our ventilation equipment for professional kitchens. Samppa started at Climecon as a quality engineer several years ago, and we wanted to keep the top expert in the house. Samppa is a fair and well-liked colleague and the karaoke star of Climecon’s group.

These days, in addition to designing and developing professional kitchen solutions, Samppa is also responsible for special product design and modifying solutions for customers’ unique needs. According to Samppa, the best thing about product development work is the versatility of the tasks.

“Climecon allows you to influence your own work and also for the future. Professional kitchen technologies are constantly developing, and new features are added. A good example of this is our new DCKV ventilation solution. I was heavily involved in the development,” says Samppa.

Samppa also appreciates that Climecon is a completely Finnish company that invests in responsibility.

Samppa’s hobbies include going to the gym, playing badminton, and following sports. Also, he mentions pub quizzes as a fun way to spend his free time. Based on the initial introduction, it probably won’t come as a surprise that Samppa’s hobbies include music in many forms. Samppa can sing evergreen songs and 2000s dance hits in karaoke.

Samppa also praises his colleagues: “Coworkers are always ready to help, and here the phrase is true: if you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” Samppa sums up.
