Get to know: Product designer Aleksi Aromaa

Product designer Aleksi Aromaa, who has been with us at Climecon for 3 years, has graduated from Lahti University of Applied Sciences as an industrial designer. Lahti LAB Design Institute is one of the oldest educational institutions in the field in Finland. Aleksi works at the head office and was raised in Espoo, the capital metropolitan area. He plays a major role in creating innovative and sustainable ventilation solutions as a product designer.

Aleksi is involved in the product design process, from the product idea to testing prototypes and producing the final product. As a product designer, he develops better and more functional products for both people and the environment. In addition to designing the product’s appearance, functionality, and usability, his job description often includes manufacturability design, product innovations, service concept design, and research.

In addition to product design, he has also been involved in many things, for example, preparing production work instructions and helping marketing with 3D visualizations. This young man can also do 3D rendering like a professional. Right from the start, he joined the new product development project and got to share his views on the design of the new AIRA valve. The product development team is excited about Aleksi’s awesome drawing skills and appreciates having a new team member who brings both sharp attention to detail and fresh perspectives on product design.

“I have been able to do nice and varied work in a really nice team. The Climecon team has a relaxed atmosphere, where it is easy to express your own opinions and get help by asking. I started studying design because it combines many things that I like. I like drawing, working with my hands, and developing new ideas and solutions. I have been able to utilize these skills here,” Aleksi describes.

Aleksi’s hobbies include cycling and sports, reading books, and playing board games. He goes to the gym regularly, but otherwise, he is not too picky when it comes to sports.

Manage life cycle costs effectively – energy-saving smart ventilation

The costs of a construction project do not end when the building site is completed. The real expenses accumulate over the entire lifecycle of the building: from energy use, maintenance, and the lifespan of the systems. When new systems are put out to tender, the purchase price alone does not reveal the total cost of the investment. The Life Cycle Costs show which solution is truly sensible both economically and environmentally. When solutions are designed to be long-lasting and energy-efficient, the building consumes less energy, emissions decrease, and indoor air quality remains high year after year.
