Get to know: Sales Manager Veli-Matti Piispanen

A favorite among customers, Veli-Matti knows snow and rain covers, roof hoods, and hoods like the back of his hand. Veli-Matti, or Velsu as he’s known to friends, has been working at Climecon since 1999. In addition to his sales role, he also helps manage products for snow and rain covers, and roof hoods together with the Product Manager. His enthusiasm for his work is as strong as it was at the start of his career, and as a thrill-seeker, Velsu is always ready for new adventures.

Manage life cycle costs effectively – energy-saving smart ventilation

The costs of a construction project do not end when the building site is completed. The real expenses accumulate over the entire lifecycle of the building: from energy use, maintenance, and the lifespan of the systems. When new systems are put out to tender, the purchase price alone does not reveal the total cost of the investment. We’re excited to announce our support for 22-year-old sailor Viivi Moisio! Viivi already has extensive experience in sailing, and now she is aiming higher than ever before. Her next major project is the challenging Globe 580 Transat race, a solo sailing race across the Atlantic without any outside assistance. Along the way, only one thing will decide: who is the most skilled and tenacious sailor, and that is what Viivi intends to be. She is determined to win the entire race. Viivi is preparing for the race in the winter of 2026 and is building her own boat. Her journey is full of grit, skill, and determination – exactly the qualities we admire. We have published our Sustainability Report 2024

Our sustainability work is based on our values, strategy, and commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The year 2024 was significant for Climecon’s sustainability work, and we have promoted many efforts related to environmental sustainability, social sustainability, and quality. Five years of successful climate work

We have been actively working on mitigating climate change for five years, which has led to significant decrease in emissions for Climecon. From the first calculation, conducted in 2019, emissions have decreased by as much as 45%, which is equivalent to 1,730 tons of carbon dioxide. This amount is equivalent to driving 12.4 million kilometres by car, or almost three thousand people making a round trip from Helsinki to Munich each year. We publish our carbon footprint for the previous year and a summary of the highlights of our sustainability work annually.

Product designer Aleksi Aromaa, who has been with us at Climecon for 3 years, has graduated from Lahti University of Applied Sciences as an industrial designer. Lahti LAB Design Institute is one of the oldest educational institutions in the field in Finland. Aleksi works at the head office and was raised in Espoo, the capital metropolitan area. He plays a major role in creating innovative and sustainable ventilation solutions as a product designer.
